Casertasette - CASERTASETTE NEWS IN ENGLISH: 3 ARRESTED FOR PROTECTION MONEY

SANTA MARIA CAPUA VETERE (Caserta), 9 novembre 2009 - Three people have been arrested by carabinieri in the Caserta province for extorting money from a Lazio region entrepreneur who set up a supermarket, Eurospin, at the highway exit in Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The three received 50,000 euros as initial protection money, but after demanding 80,000 more the entrepreneur reported the matter to the police.
